Join international artist, Eli Cedrone on a creative and inspiring new class!

Eli will guide and encourage you to make beautiful and satisfying work. Through the use of collage, participants will use various methods to make small art works that hold personal meaning. Works will explore design, color, texture, and mark making. Participants will develop ways to portray meaning and memory through visual storytelling.

This workshop set is suitable for all levels, adults and teens 16+ to learn:

  • To create collages inspired by personal memory, texts, and ephemeral items
  • To use a range of materials including paper, fabric, and prepared surfaces
  • Explore basic drawing & mark making techniques
  • To use storytelling and memory to inspire the creative process

    Duration: 4-week series, meeting each Wednesday for 2 hours

    Dates: Wednesdays: July 3 – 24, 2024

    Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

    Class Size: Maximum of 10 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment.

    Location: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art’s Classroom (and surrounding gardens)

    Materials provided: Art supplies provided such as prepared boards and paper, printed materials (magazines, books, newspaper), color swatches, fabric scraps, paints, brushes, glue and tape.

    Workshop preparation:  Bring a personal sketch or mixed-media book for individual work.

    Workshop participants are asked to collect and collate materials such as photos and objects that hold meaning for you (texts can range from personal letters, travel tickets, shopping lists, song lyrics, and poetry) – these will be cut up, so you may wish to bring copies rather than originals. In your travels look for assorted found objects that speak to you.

    Important reminder: A cancellation must be made 14 days before the registration program start date to receive a refund.  No refund will be given within 14 days of the program date.

    2023 Masterworks exhibiting artist Eli Cedrone is an award-winning artist from the US and Bermuda. A graduate of the School of Art & Design at Suffolk University, she also studied in Florence, Italy; The Museum of Fine Arts School and The Academy of Realist Art, Boston.  She is the recipient of several fellowships and was Artist in Residence at Masterworks in 2017. She has participated in juried invitationals worldwide including Bermuda Plein Air Festival, where she won Best Oil Painting award in 2018 and 2019. Cedrone is a popular workshop instructor in the US and Europe.
