As we head into the final months of 2022, I wish to express my gratitude for the tremendous support, engagement at our events, volunteer hours, donations and unwavering commitment to Masterworks that have contributed to another successful year. We have launched incredible exhibitions that have celebrated Bermuda’s past and present, have brought collectors closer to artists through artist talks and networking nights, have encouraged people of all ages to explore their creativity through our education programmes and have highlighted the ever-increasing value of the arts for our community. We thank you for making this possible.
In particular, we are excited by the diversity of artists who have exhibited at the Rick Faries Gallery and in the Charman Prize Exhibition; we are delighted that we have been able to increase our capacity within our art education classroom, doubling our participating students and adults from 2021; and we are thrilled to have brought people together again to share the real-time impact of Masterworks at our first Gala in two years, and through our private tours, our events in partnership with the Bermuda Tourism Authority and overseas organisations such as Forbes, and our lectures and talks with resident experts within the arts profession.
This exceptionally active year at the Museum demonstrates our passion to continue to enhance the benefits of arts education and deepen the appreciation for ‘Bermuda’s story through art’.
