Join Blair Masters for this 6-week ceramics course where you will learn the fundamentals of clay, tools, and techniques of wheel throwing! Ideal for beginners or intermediates looking to continue their practice. You’ll learn how to centre, throw, trim, and glaze your creations.
Each week will focus on a specific skill:
- Week 1: Introduction to clay and tools. Students will learn to center and pull walls on the wheel.
- Week 2: Throwing forms: we’ll focus on making cylinders and bowls.
- Week 3: Trimming and putting final touches on your work before the bisque firing.
- Week 4: Bisque firing (class doesn’t meet)
- Week 4: Glazing and preparing your work for the final glaze firing.
