Join international artist, Eli Cedrone for this fun and inspiring class. Through a series of exercises, you’ll explore how to simply and effectively communicate your ideas with paint. This is an atelier experience for all levels where you will build a solid foundation.
Each class is designed to strengthen skills of perception and stress the basics of drawing, value, and colour focusing on:
- Drawing and simplifying shapes;
- Composition and creating a focal point;
- Seeing values and mixing colours;
- How to block-in your painting and finishing details;
- Developing an individual style
Duration: 4-week series, Session 1 meeting each Monday for 2 hours, and Session 2 meeting each Wednesday for 2 hours
Dates: Mondays: April 8 – May 6, 2024 (with exception of April 29, 2024); Wednesdays: April 10 – May 8, 2024 (with exception of May 1, 2024)
Time: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Class Size: Maximum of 10 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment.
Location: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art’s Classroom (and surrounding gardens)
Materials: Art supplies provided. Participants are welcome to bring mediums they are practicing to each session.

2023 Masterworks exhibiting artist Eli Cedrone is an award-winning artist from the US and Bermuda. A graduate of the School of Art & Design at Suffolk University, she also studied in Florence, Italy; The Museum of Fine Arts School and The Academy of Realist Art, Boston. She is the recipient of several fellowships and was Artist in Residence at Masterworks in 2017. She has participated in juried invitationals worldwide including Bermuda Plein Air Festival, where she won Best Oil Painting award in 2018 and 2019. Cedrone is a popular workshop instructor in the US and Europe.
