Dive into the rewarding world of fibre arts through this beginner’s knitting class.
Perfect for complete novices, this workshop will guide you through the basics, from casting on stitches to creating simple patterns. You’ll learn essential techniques like the knit and purl stitches, how to read a basic pattern, as well as tips for fixing common mistakes.

Duration: 4-week series, meeting each Tuesday for 2 hours

Facilitator: Irena Ashton
Irena is an avid knitter with decades of experience working with natural fibers. She was the founder of the Black Purl, a yarn and knitting supply store located in Hamilton Bermuda and she ran knitting classes for children and adults while operating the Black Purl shop.
Class Size: Maximum of 8 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment.
Age group: Adults and teens aged 16+
Skill level: Beginner
Location: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art’s Classroom
