DESCRIPTION:Join us for this rare opportunity to learn with John Hartman\, celebrated Canadian artist renowned for his innovative landscape paintings inspired by both Canada and abroad.\n\nHartman will teach a 4-hour class on outdoor sketching with watercolours\, using small-scale\, portable materials and working quickly to record the light and shapes before they change. DESCRIPTION:Winter Term at Masterworks is centered around the element of form! \nSign your young artist up for this 10-week artistic journey through the world of form. This hands-on program will nurture young minds through a variety of activities that develop fine motor skills\, and explore the fundamental concepts of shape\, structure\, and dimension using cardboard sculpture\, clay\, drawing and painting. \nDuration: 10-week program\, meeting each week for 1.5 hours. \nDates (Ages 6-10): Tuesdays\, January 9 – March 19\, 2023 (no session over half-term break\, February 13\, 2024) \nDates (Ages 11 -16): Wednesdays\, January 10 – March 20\, 2024 (no session over half-term break\, February 14\, 2024) \nTime: 4:00pm – 5:30pm \nClass Size: Maximum of 12 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment. \nLocation: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art\, in the Art Classroom \nMaterials: All necessary art supplies\, including cardboard\, clay\, drawing materials\, and paints are provided. With the exception of digital tools\, students are welcome to bring mediums they are practicing to each session. \nGuest Artists: Whenever possible we will invite artists and/or performers to share their expertise and artistic perspectives. \nField Trips: Sessions offer real-world exposure to the theme with visits to Masterworks’ wider Museum and Gallery spaces as well as the Botanical Gardens. \nImportant reminder: A cancellation must be made 14 days before the registration program start date to receive a refund.  No refund will be given within 14 days of the program date.

DESCRIPTION:Masterworks’ Intergenerational Art Space is a vibrant and inclusive haven where individuals of all ages can come together to unleash their creativity and connect across generations.  This unique space offers a diverse range of art practices and projects and encourages us to paint\, print and collage our way to more meaningful connections. \nDuration: 10-week term\, meeting each Friday for 2 hours \nDates: Fridays: September 22  – December 1\, 2023\, with exception of October 27 \nTime: 10:00am – 12:00pm \nClass Size: Maximum of 8 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment.  For those requiring support\, care partners must be in attendance\, but need not register their details or pay the fee. \nLocation: Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art’s Classroom \nMaterials: Basic art supplies will be provided.
